Traveling about 6000 mile per hour the moonships enter into a tight orbit around the moon's equator. Below the noonday temperatures reach an unbearable 220° F., more than hot enough to boil water.

After a small course correction the ships head for an area called Sinus Roris, a small area about 650 miles from the lunar north pole, where the daytime temperature averages a reasonably pleasant 40 degrees and the terrain is flat enough to land on, yet irregular enough that nearby mountains will offer protection from the direct rays of the sun.

The original art is computer generated. The three moonships are created and rendered with Ray Dream Designer 4.1, the background stars and the moon shader map are made with Photoshop 3.0.
